I am nearly 60 years old, an entrepreneur, a grandmother and an avid fisherman. After 15 years, I recently sold my high-end women’s boutique. I will spend my time volunteering for a scholarship nonprofit for underprivileged young women who dream of going to college. I dream of being a writer and love to inspire other women to dream big.

My Poem For Susan and her Wonderful New Blog:

    Some catch, huh?
    Isn’t she a beauty…
I must have used just the right lure!
Took me forever to reel her in,
and I thought I’d never get her,
    but now she’s all mine!
Won’t she look great above my mantle?
I’ll be the envy of everyone.

    But, I just…
    I just couldn’t.
    She looked so beautiful
When she finally jumped out of the water
And let me catch a glimpse of her.
I just couldn’t kill her spirit.
So I did it; I cut the line.

Sometimes now I sit on the dock late at night
And in the stillness of the water I can still see her.
It’s as if she’s dancing in the moonlight.

    Who Caught the Best Fish?

Who else could look that good in a fishing vest and make it look like high fashion. Only Susan.
